“Fighting childhood cancer, one cup at a time.”

Alexs Lemonade _76ers 2 Alex at stand

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help cure all children with cancer—she would go on to raise more than $1 million before her death in 2004. Since then the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national charity dedicated to curing childhood cancer.  Since inception, ALSF has raised more than $120 million and funded over 550 pediatric cancer research projects.

“John P Previti Foundation’s generous gift to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) helped to fund critically-needed research projects, at the top hospitals across the nation, to find better treatments and cures for children with cancer. In 2015 ALSF funded more than 88 new research projects resulting more than 550 projects funded since the foundation’s inception. Through the support of contributors, like the John P Previti Foundation, we are moving toward the day when a cure for all kids with cancer becomes a reality.” – Megan Fesolovich, Donor Stewardship and Development Specialist
