The Previti Foundation Donates $100,000 to Cedar House Substance Abuse Program

If you or someone that you know has been affected by chemical dependency, you understand the importance of having access to the right resources for care.

For over three decades, Cedar House Life Change Center—based in Bloomington, California—has been helping those impacted by substance abuse. Cedar House provides both outpatient services and residential treatment services, including individualized treatment planning and counseling. All of its programs are licensed and certified by California’s Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs.

The John P. Previti Memorial Foundation is helping Cedar House serve even more people in need with its recent grant. In October 2012, the foundation announced a $100,000 donation to benefit Cedar House.

Cedar House’s existing services include the “Before You Were Born” program for women who are pregnant and working towards sobriety. The organization plans to use the funding from the Previti Foundation to build a new 25-unit transitional housing complex for graduates of this program.

The donation fits well with the mission of the Previti Foundation, which funds non-profits focused on at-risk youth, community building, and those struggling with substance abuse. It is also part of a personal commitment by our founder, James Previti.

James is an experienced and well-respected homebuilder who operates Frontier Homes and Frontier Enterprises. In 2004, he was named to the Builder 100 list compiled annually by Professional Builder Magazine. He has also been honored as the Builder of the Year by the Building Industry Association.

Regardless of his professional success, James’ focus remains on serving those in need. He has spent nearly two decades and hundreds of hours volunteering at local substance abuse prevention and rehabilitation programs, including Cedar House. James works individually with people who are struggling to overcome their addictions and reclaim their lives.
